R&D Laboratory Technician

• Up to $35.50/hour DoE
• Derry, NH
• Monday – Friday (no weekends!)
• First Shift – 8am – 4:30pm
• Contract position

Duties:

• Daily involvement with all aspects of plastics material development including batch making, processing, extruding, and molding.
• Perform laboratory testing using a wide range of equipment and test methods that characterize the material's physical, chemical, and mechanical properties.
• Prepare concise reports on material characteristics.
• Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on lab equipment and processing equipment.
• Create and review work instructions and procedures that facilitate safe and reliable operation of all equipment.
• Maintaining a safe work environment is the highest priority.
• Actively contributes to safety and core values and culture.

 

What we look for…

• High attention to detail
• Over 2 years of technical related experience
• Background in plastic extrusion, molding, and testing
• Familiarity with laboratory environments and standard protocols
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 framework
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing and 5S methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong technical mindset to troubleshoot issues
• Clear verbal and written skills for vendor and customer contact
• High School Diploma or a technical associate degree
