Extrusion Operator

Job Summary:

A client of ours in Wilsonville is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join a growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate production equipment used to transform raw materials into finished products while ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to maintain accurate production records. 

This is an Evaluation-to-hire role.

Duties:

  • Operate equipment used to manufacture products from raw materials into finished goods.
  • Maintain inventory records of raw materials used in manufacturing.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records and data sheets on materials in process.
  • Perform in-process testing to ensure production meets required specifications.
  • Recognize equipment malfunctions and product deficiencies and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimum production levels.
  • Conduct quality checks including hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content testing.
  • Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
  • Maintain running accounts of orders received, work completed, and inventory.
  • Match workload, staffing, and equipment capacity to existing inventory requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor master schedules by coordinating with materials planning, production, and maintenance personnel.
  • Requisition materials and determine delivery dates as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Applies semi-advanced skills and proficiency typically acquired through job-related vocational training and relevant work experience (2+ years).
  • Ability to perform advanced functions involving manufacturing procedures, techniques, tools, materials, and equipment.
  • May require external certification in certain disciplines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and manufacturing processes.
  • Requires judgment and basic problem-solving skills to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 

Pay: $22.47 per hour (Base pay of $21/hour plus 7% shift differential)

Shift:
FHD, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday.
3:15 AM – 3:30 PM
