This position combines hands-on mechanical work with customer service and service advising responsibilities. Key ResponsibilitiesSuspension & Spring Shop Duties:
- Remove and replace leaf springs and other suspension systems, including air ride, SumoSprings, and smart suspension solutions
- Diagnose suspension-related issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Fabricate and rebuild leaf spring packs
- Bend and manufacture custom U-bolts
- Perform suspension repairs and modifications on light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles
Service Advisor Duties:
- Meet with customers to evaluate suspension and spring needs
- Recommend repair, replacement, or custom suspension solutions
- Prepare estimates and repair recommendations
- Order parts and coordinate with suppliers and vendors
- Schedule repairs and communicate progress with customers
- Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service
- Prepare final invoices and review completed work with customers
What we look for:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to balance hands-on shop work with customer-facing responsibilities
- Experience in automotive, truck, fleet, agricultural equipment, fabrication, or heavy-duty repair environments is a plus
- Basic computer and administrative skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license required
