Role OverviewWe are looking for a Carpenter Apprentice, an entry-level position in the carpentry trade, designed to provide hands-on training and mentorship under the guidance of experienced carpenters. Apprentices work on a variety of construction projects, learning both the technical skills and safety protocols of the trade while contributing to real-world building tasks.
Education: Certificate in Carpentry is preferred
Experience: Entry-level; may have basic carpentry or construction experience
Skills: Proficiency with hand and power tools, understanding of construction methods, and adherence to safety standards
Certifications: OSHA 10 or equivalent safety certification is often preferred
Assist in layout and preparation of projects and building specifications and learn to read blueprints.
Measure, cut, and assemble wood, plastic, and other materials with precision using hand and power tools (saws, drills, sanders, hammers, planes, chisels)
Help install structures, fixtures, and finishes such as windows, doors, flooring, baseboards, and roofing
Perform repairs and maintenance as needed, including framing, blocking, and finish work
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
Participate in training programs and workshops to develop carpentry techniques
Load/unload materials and assist with inventory management
Apprentices work on-site in residential construction projects or in a carpentry workshop.
