Duties

• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to execute precise installations and repairs.
• Perform maintenance on industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and low-voltage control circuits.
• Ensure all work adheres to electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and PPE requirements.
• Conduct routine inspections of commercial electrical systems to identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks within industrial environments.
• Assist in renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure on construction sites.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and compliance documentation for audits.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to complete projects on time and within scope.

Experience

• Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems.
• Extensive background working on commercial electrical projects involving complex wiring configurations.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) compliance requirements is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Construction site experience is preferred, including renovation projects and new installations.
• Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools necessary for electrical work.
• Ability to interpret schematics accurately while adhering to local electrical codes and NEC standards.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures related to electrical work including low voltage applications.
