Express Employment Professionals is seeking a temporary professional, detail-oriented Registeration Associate to support a healthcare organization by conducting initial health screenings and coordinating the admissions process for patients and program participants in the Gillette area.

Position Summary

The Registeration Associate serves as the first point of contact for prospective patients, conducting comprehensive health screenings to determine eligibility for admission into healthcare programs and services. This role is responsible for collecting and reviewing medical and behavioral health information, assessing admission criteria, coordinating with clinical staff, and ensuring all required documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial health screenings and intake assessments for prospective patients.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility based on established program, clinical, and admission criteria.
  • Identify urgent health concerns and communicate findings to appropriate clinical staff.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain accurate patient records and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate admissions with healthcare providers, case managers, referral sources, and family members as needed.
  • Explain admission requirements, program expectations, and next steps to patients and their families.
  • Document screening results and admission recommendations in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Process referrals and assist with placement into appropriate programs or services.
  • Maintain timely and accurate records of all screening and admission activities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in healthcare admissions, patient intake, health screening, case management, or a related healthcare setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
