Shipping Receiving - STEEL PROCESSOR

Located in Warren, MI

Salary: $18/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shipping & Receiving Steel Processor to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, inspecting incoming and outgoing materials, and ensuring accurate inventory and shipment documentation. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, knowledge of shipping and receiving processes, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments to support production and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks to support daily shipping and receiving operations
• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
• Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and quality
• Tag and label materials to ensure proper identification and inventory control
• Scan products and accurately process shipments using shipping and production software
• Utilize SAP to support shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions
• Communicate with multiple departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Assist other production areas as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous shipping and receiving experience in a manufacturing environment required (steel industry experience preferred)
• Forklift experience required
• Experience using SAP and shipping/production software preferred
• Comfortable scanning products and working with computerized inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
