Furnace Operator

Located in Warren, MI

Salary: $18-$24/Hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable Material Handler / Forklift Operator to support production operations in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the facility while ensuring accurate material identification and inventory tracking. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Stack, load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility
• Operate forklifts and manlifts safely and efficiently
• Monitor recording charts and make cycle flow adjustments as needed
• Tag and retag materials to ensure accurate identification
• Maintain proper material identification by size, grade, and heat
• Collect material samples for metallurgical evaluation
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
• Support production and warehouse operations as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing experience required (steel industry experience preferred)
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to operate a manlift and forklift safely
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• $18-24 hourly 
• Monday- Friday: 8PM-6AM
• Warren, MI 48091
