BLEND ASSISTANT / MANUFACTURING MACHINE OPERATOR — NIGHT SHIFT

Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour
Location: High Springs, FL
Schedule: 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m., rotating 12-hour shifts
Job Type: Full-time, contract-to-hire

 

 

A well-established manufacturing company in High Springs is seeking a dependable Blend Assistant to support its overnight production operations.

This position is ideal for someone with manufacturing, machine-operating, forklift, material-handling, or mechanically inclined production experience. COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE

• Starting pay of $23.50 per hour
• Advancement potential up to approximately $25.00 per hour
• Rotating 12-hour night shift from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One 36-hour week followed by one 48-hour week
• Eight hours of overtime during the 48-hour week
• Every other weekend off
• Average of approximately 42 hours per week

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Blend Lead with formulations and blending operations
• Operate production, blending, and laboratory equipment
• Perform required quality-control checks
• Monitor raw materials, hoppers, silos, production lines, and feeders
• Keep hoppers and silos supplied with the appropriate materials
• Troubleshoot minor mechanical and electrical equipment issues
• Complete production reports, material-usage records, and required logs
• Unload bulk-material trucks
• Assist with inventory and placement of incoming raw materials
• Safely operate a forklift
• Inspect equipment and production areas for leaks or operating problems
• Maintain a clean and organized blend area
• Follow all plant safety rules and standard operating procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous manufacturing, machine-operating, production, warehouse, blending, or material-handling experience is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Forklift experience is strongly preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform basic calculations and complete production documentation
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow formulas, product codes, and written procedures
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to pass a job-related aptitude or entry assessment
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
• Ability to work a permanent night-shift schedule

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb, and work around industrial equipment
• Ability to climb stairs, silos, and a blend tower
• Ability to work in close quarters
• Ability to tolerate typical manufacturing noise and varying weather conditions
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment
