Express Employment is now seeking Machine Operators in the Columbia area! This role is Monday through Friday. The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe operation of an industrial saw and cutting materials to correct length and measurements. This position starts at $17.00+ hr based on experience with various shifts. Must be able to operate large scale forklift. This role involves great attention to detail and accurate measuring skills. They are working with high value inventory and accuracy is key. Will require standing for long periods of time and is physical job, requires someone who is mechanically inclined to operate this machine. It is a very hands on operator who is using forklift to set large scale materials on machine, input operation requirements, move items using overhead crane, calculating correct measurements

Schedule: 1st M-F 5 am -1:30 pm I 2nd M-F 1:30 pm - 11:00 pm 

Duties include:

-Reading and interpreting basic blueprints
-Maintaining equipment and ensure work area is always clean
-Performing basic preventative maintenance on saw equipment.
-Cutting materials to correct size and length
-Operating overhead crane and forklift

Qualifications:

-Previous saw/machine operating experience
-Previous overhead crane and large scale forklift experience
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches
-Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
-Ability to work independently with little direction
