Location: Salem, OR
PAY: $19.00–$20.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Medical Receptionist for a busy and fast-paced medical office in Salem, Oregon. This is an Evaluation-to-Hire opportunity with a growing healthcare team.

As the first point of contact for patients, you'll play a key role in creating a welcoming, professional experience while keeping the front office running efficiently. If you're organized, dependable, friendly, and enjoy helping others, we'd love to hear from you!

Job Duties

• Greet and assist walk-in patients and scheduled appointments
• Check in patients and verify insurance information
• Review and update patient medical records
• Enter and maintain patient information using medical software
• Request and receive records from referring physicians
• Prepare patient paperwork prior to appointments
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls
• Maintain an organized and professional front office
• Coordinate patient flow for 30+ patients daily
• Complete additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Friendly, compassionate, and professional with outstanding customer service skills
• Dependable, reliable, and punctual
• Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with patients with disabilities
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the ability to quickly learn new software and medical databases
• Previous receptionist, administrative, customer service, or medical office experience preferred
• Candidates with demonstrated work experience showing a strong ability to learn and adapt are encouraged to apply
• Experience working with insurance verification or medical records is a plus, but not required
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
