Property Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and experienced Property Maintenance Technician for an opportunity at a local company in Cape Girardeau, MO. The ideal candidate will have hands-on maintenance experience and be comfortable responding to work orders, completing repairs, and helping maintain a clean, safe, and well-kept property.

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete resident maintenance requests and work orders.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance in apartments, buildings, and common areas.
• Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, doors, locks, and other property components.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents through cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance.
• Perform light grounds and exterior maintenance as needed.
• Inspect apartments and common areas for maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain and organize maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Follow property safety procedures and maintenance guidelines.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property management, and maintenance staff.
• Assist with emergency maintenance situations when required.

Job Requirements

• Previous apartment, property, facilities, or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple work orders.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
