Defense Attorney (Workers Compensation Defense)

Salary: $55 - 65+/hr

We're hiring a Defense Attorney to represent employers in workers' compensation matters while working alongside an experienced team in a supportive office environment that's been serving Oregon since the early 1970s.

Duties

• Draft legal pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents for workers' compensation defense cases.
• Prepare deposition summaries, case materials, and supporting documentation for hearings and litigation.
• Assist with hearings before Administrative Law Judges and attend proceedings at the Oregon Workers' Compensation Board.
• Participate in client meetings, strategy sessions, and case discussions both in person and via Zoom.
• Draft opinion letters, concurrence letters, settlement agreements, and client status updates for attorney review.
• Maintain organized case files while managing deadlines and providing timely communication to clients and team members.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal representation for employer clients.
