Kitchen Prep/Helper
Location: Openings in Edinburg, McAllen, Mission & San Juan, TX
Pay Rate: $11.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, must be flexible to work weekends. Two days off provided during the week.

 

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is now hiring Kitchen Prep/Helpers to support a fast-paced food production restaurant. Openings are available in several of their locations. Candidates will be responsible for food preparation, assistance in moving and storing kitchen ingredients and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Unload and store kitchen ingredients and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Chop vegetables, pack, and prep ingredients for daily production

• Assist with making and preparing foods and other food products

• Maintain a clean and organized workstation following food safety standards

• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet production demands

• Follow directions from kitchen supervisors and team leads

• Perform other kitchen duties as needed

Requirements:

• Must be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs of ingredients and materials often along with bending and being on your feet for long periods of time.

• Previous food prep or kitchen experience preferred but not required

• Food Handler’s Permit is a plus (company will allow time to obtain if not currently held)

• Flexible schedule, including weekends

• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
