Job Overview

Perform a variety of clerical and administrative functions related to inventory control and the movement of products into, within, and out of the plant, including shipping, receiving, and custom processing activities. Ensure accurate documentation, system entry, and coordination of inbound and outbound product flow. Provide operational support and back‑up assistance to warehouse operations and customer service as needed.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for receiving and tallying all inbound products into the warehouse management system.
  • Perform inventory control responsibilities including the preparation, verification, and accurate data entry of warehouse receipts, bills of lading, inbound shipment records, and custom processing activity in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), routing pertinent information to department supervisors, and communicating as needed to ensure correct charges are accurately reflected and communicated to customers via email, or phone.
  • Collect, create, and maintain documentation and system records related to warehousing, and inbound & outbound shipments. Ensure accurate routing of information to appropriate department supervisors and communicate with them to resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate outbound order processing by assigning orders for picking, generating required documentation, and creating labels for outbound orders and finished pallets.
  • Communicate with truck drivers, carriers, and customers by phone, email, fax, or other written correspondence regarding inbound and outbound shipments, scheduling, inventory status, and cold storage information.
  • Support inventory accuracy through timely and accurate system data entry, documentation review, and research of inventory discrepancies in coordination with warehouse operations.
  • Schedule inbound and outbound trucks and check drivers in at the shipping and receiving office, coordinating dock activity with warehouse operations.
  • Type, process, distribute, and file documents and correspondence; prepare and process Cold Storage outgoing mail on a daily basis.Research and resolve inventory and shipment issues working closely with warehouse operations team to ensure timely and accurate order fullfillment.
  • Hande confidential information, both internally and externally, as it pertains to customers, production and shipments.
  • Provide operational support and back‑up to warehouse as needed to ensure continuity of daily operations.
  • Perform other warehouse and customer service duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 2 years of high volume, fast pace customer service
  • Order entry experience
  • Organized & strong attention to detail
  • Ability to juggle multiple things and prioritize
  • Ability to adapt
  • Good technical skills and comfort around learning new/complete software system
  • Strong communication
