Fitter/Welder 

Express Employment Professionals Guelph is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Fitter-Welder to complete a 4-6 weeks contract position in Guelph, ON.

In this role, associates will be responsible for the MIG welding and fitting on a variety of custom projects with stainless, aluminum, and carbon steel, from small components to full assemblies. 

Fitter-Welder Advantages

• Wage: $33.53/Hr. 
• 4-6 week contract with the potential to be extended a couple weeks. 
• Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM some flexibility is required

Fitter-Welder Responsibilities

• Read and interpret fabrication and assembly drawings
• Fit and weld components to meet tight tolerances
• Perform MIG welding on various materials, there may be some TIG welding involved 
• Work with plate, sheet, and structural members
• Maintain quality standards and attention to detail throughout fabrication
• Operate shop tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Able to work in the field installing what we build or do onsite welding repairs
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area

Fitter-Welder Qualifications

• CWB certification is preferred
• 5–10 years of relatable experience required 
• Proven expertise in stainless steel welding and heavy fitting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications
• Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
