Maintenance Mechanic II – Swing Shift

Pay: $39.76/hour base pay + 10% shift differential

Schedule: Preferred Tuesday–Saturday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM, or Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM–11:00 PM. Overtime may be required. We are willing to be flexible for a strong candidate who can work swing shift.

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a leading manufacturing client in Wilsonville, Oregon seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic II to join their maintenance team on a temporary basis.

This position is ideal for an independent problem solver who can diagnose and repair a wide variety of production equipment issues. The successful candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills and experience working with complex manufacturing machinery in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all safety policies and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash safety, and stop-work authority.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and install production machinery and supporting systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Assist with spare parts inventory management, including identifying, ordering, and tracking replacement components and supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with maintenance, production, and other departments to achieve operational goals.
• Communicate clearly through written, verbal, and visual methods.
• Maintain quality and compliance standards while supporting manufacturing operations.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience performing advanced troubleshooting and repairs on 24/7 production equipment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and commitment to supporting production operations.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of performance and attention to detail.
• Experience using computer-based systems in a network environment.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and repairing PLC-controlled equipment.
• Computer and software troubleshooting experience.
• Experience using CAD software to review or edit drawings and schematics.
• Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
• Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
