Express is partnering with a local municipality to hire a Building Inspector / Code Enforcement Officer. If you have 2+ years of construction experience, understand building practices, and enjoy problem-solving and working with the public, we'd love to hear from you!

What You'll Be Doing:

Review and issue building permits
Inspect residential and commercial construction projects
Answer questions from contractors and property owners
Enforce building and property maintenance codes
Conduct code enforcement inspections and follow up on violations
Assist with floodplain management and community improvement programs
Work with local, state, and federal agencies
Attend trainings to earn and maintain certifications

What We're Looking For:

2+ years of construction experience REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of construction methods and building practices
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and stay organized
Willingness to obtain required certifications and attend training

Pay & Benefits:

$24-$29/hour, depending on experience and licenses
