Melting Dept. - Forklift Operator

Located in Dickson, TN

Salary: $17 / Hour

Job Description: 

Express Employment Professionals of Dickson is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Forklift position in the Melting Department of a local Aluminum Foundry.  This position will pay $17.00 per hour and the hours are 7 am-3pm.  Candidates must have Forklift experience.

Responsibilities:

• Load and clean holding and dry hearth furnaces
• Assist with metal deliveries
• Treat metal according to specific parameters
• Deliver molten aluminum to designated areas
• Good attitude, performance, and attendance is essential

Qualifications:

• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs. - Physically demanding
• Must have previous Forklift experience
• Able to read Gauges and Calibers
• Able to withstand hot temperatures (100-140 degrees F)
• Capable of working in a non temperature-controlled environment
• Able to stand on concrete for the entire shift
• Must be available for short notice overtime and to switch shifts 
• Must have personal, reliable transportation
• Capable of physical movements such as reaching, bending and stooping
• Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including the use of PPE: PPE includes but is not limited to Steel toed boots, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection
