Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized Mobile Service Specialist to support daily transportation operations, coordinate service schedules, communicate with drivers and customers, and ensure timely and efficient service delivery. The ideal candidate will have prior transportation and dispatch experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Schedule
· Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience.
· Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.
· Must be flexible and available to work overtime when needed.
· Must be open to working occasional weekends based on operational needs.
Job description:
· Fast paced work environment / Multi-Tasking
· Heavy phones and email correspondence
· Proficient in MS Office ( Word, Excel, Outlook )
· Transportation and dispatching background is a must ( Knowledge of DOT Hours)
· Dispatching drivers out to various assignments, precisely matching drivers with their skill set to the open orders.
· Communication / correspondence with Clients regarding Orders, Driver issues, payroll, or billing issues
· Communicating with drivers on any payroll discrepancies and communicating that information to payroll departments.
· Book travel daily for CDL Drivers (airfare, car rental, and hotel)
· Communication with drivers on all travel arrangements made (phone and email confirmation)
· Cross trained on all functions of mobile expenses
· Work with Expense Manager on any billing issues to resolve in a timely manner
· Daily/Weekly communication with Payroll and Expense Manager on any hotel/car rental issues or concerns
· Monitor shared inbox
· Daily input of airfare receipts and upload into our tracker
· Covers the "On-Call" Weekend Dispatch rotation as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· High School Diploma and 2 years customer service; or equivalent combination experience.
Qualifications:
· 2 + Years Transportation or Transportation Staffing experience preferred.
· 2+ Years Customer Service experience preferred.
· Knowledge of DOT regulations.
· Demonstrative leadership ability and success in delivering results through the actions of others.
· Ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and meet deadlines under pressure.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to persuade an audience.
· Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population.
· Excellent problem-solving and judgment.
· Desire to work in a collaborative team environment.
· Valid driver’s license and a car that can be used for work.
