Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Welding Shop Supervisor for a manufacturing company in South Fort Worth. This position is ideal for a hands-on welding professional who can lead shop employees, interpret production drawings, maintain quality standards, and keep welding projects moving efficiently.

 

The Welding Shop Supervisor will oversee daily welding operations involving aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills and be comfortable working alongside the team when needed.

Welding Shop Supervisor Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily welding shop operations.
• Assign work and monitor production priorities, deadlines, and workflow.
• Lead, train, and support welders and fabrication employees.
• Read and interpret production drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Oversee welding and fabrication of aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure employees follow proper welding procedures and production requirements.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized welding shop.
• Communicate production updates, concerns, and material needs to management.
• Troubleshoot welding, fabrication, and production issues.
• Assist with welding and fabrication work as needed.
• Work flexible hours based on production demands.

Welding Shop Supervisor Qualifications

• Previous welding leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of welding aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
• Ability to read and interpret production drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of welding quality and fabrication processes.
• Excellent communication and employee leadership skills.
• Ability to organize work, prioritize projects, and meet production deadlines.
• Must be dependable and willing to work flexible hours.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are helpful but not required.
