Electro-Mechanical Technician - 2nd Shift
$35.00-$45.00 per hour/ DOE
Monday-Friday / 2:55 PM-11:25 PM
Must be available for overtime on weekends based on business needs
A leading creative packaging and retail display manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain, diagnose, repair, replace, modify, calibrate, and install plant electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems and related controls that support manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment. Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, replace, modify, calibrate, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical equipment and systems.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery, motors, engines, conveyor systems, pneumatic tools, and related manufacturing equipment.
- Repair, rework, align, fit, and assemble mechanical and electrical components using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Inspect, test, and repair electrical and mechanical machinery using voltmeters, power supplies, calipers, micrometers, and other diagnostic and precision testing equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, engineering specifications, and OEM documentation to determine proper repair methods.
- Safely troubleshoot equipment, identify defective components, disassemble machinery, replace parts, reassemble equipment, and verify proper operation before returning equipment to production.
- Access, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform minor programming or operational adjustments on PLC-controlled equipment.
- Identify, source, and order replacement parts using OEM drawings, technical documentation, and manufacturer resources.
- Maintain accurate maintenance reports, work orders, testing records, and repair documentation using a computerized maintenance management system (MP2 experience is a plus).
- Maintain maintenance parts, equipment, and supply inventories while supporting continuous equipment reliability.
- Train and mentor maintenance personnel on equipment, maintenance procedures, and qualification requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while complying with all company safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Industrial Electro-Mechanical Technician Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrician, Maintenance Mechanic, Electro-Mechanical Technician, or a similar industrial maintenance role, or a two-year technical degree (or higher) in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining industrial electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-controlled equipment.
- Experience accessing PLCs for machine diagnostics and minor programming or operational adjustments.
- Prior corrugate experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, technical drawings, engineering specifications, and OEM documentation.
- Proficiency using electrical testing equipment, diagnostic tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Computer proficiency with PCs, industrial computer systems, and computerized maintenance management software (MP2 experience preferred).
- Ability to provide personal mechanical and electrical maintenance tools.
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor other maintenance personnel.
- Willingness to work any shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Experience in the corrugated packaging, display, or packaging manufacturing industry is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.
