Safety Support Specialist

Located in Switz City, IN

Salary: $19.50 / hr - $22.00 / hr

Help create a safe work environment during the busy harvest season! We're seeking a Safety Support Specialist to support safety initiatives, conduct inspections, and promote safe work practices across plant, warehouse, and field operations.

Job Summary

• Conduct safety audits and routine line walks.
• Identify hazards and unsafe behaviors; document findings.
• Coach employees on safe work practices and support corrective actions.
• Assist with LOTO, JSA, permit systems, and safety documentation.
• Perform basic industrial hygiene monitoring and safety inspections.
• Prepare safety reports and assist with tracking safety metrics.
• Support operations as needed during peak harvest.

Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, agriculture, or industrial environments preferred.
• Previous safety or EHS experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license required.

• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to identify and address safety concerns.
• Organized with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, varying shifts, and in indoor/outdoor environments.

Position Type: Contract

Schedule: Shifts vary based on business needs; overtime and weekends may be required.

Pay Rate: $19.50-$22.50 per hour
