Fire Test Operator
Location: Camarillo, CA
Pay: $18.50-$19.25/hr
Schedule: Full-Time - Monday - Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company in Camarillo, is seeking a detail-oriented Fire Test Operator to join their Final Inspection team. This position is ideal for someone with microscope experience who enjoys precision work and maintaining high quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform electrical inspections, including capacitance, dissipation factor, and insulation resistance testing.
- Conduct mechanical inspections using precision measuring equipment.
- Perform destructive physical analysis (DPA), including mounting, curing, and grinding components for inspection.
- Inspect cross-sections using a high-powered microscope.
- Accurately enter inspection results into computer systems and production documentation.
- Verify production traveler documentation for accuracy.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Support cross-training efforts and provide coverage when needed.
- Follow all quality, safety, and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 6 months of microscope experience.
- Previous manufacturing experience required.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience interpreting or performing Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Use of a microscope for the majority of the workday.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with occasional exposure to heat, fumes, and required personal protective equipment (PPE).
