Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Make Ready / Maintenance Technician for a local housing property in Wichita Falls, TX. This position is responsible for preparing apartments and housing units for new tenants by performing maintenance repairs, renovations, and general upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience in apartment maintenance, construction, or a related field and be able to work independently while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant units for occupancy by completing make-ready projects
• Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance
• Complete minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting
• Conduct carpentry repairs and installations
• Patch, repair, and finish drywall as needed
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces
• Install and repair flooring materials
• Perform general maintenance and upkeep of apartments and common areas
• Identify and report maintenance issues requiring additional attention
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous apartment maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience required
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and flooring repairs
• Ability to work independently and manage daily tasks with minimal supervision
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Clean background required
• Clean driving record (MVR) required
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
