We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaper/Groundskeeper Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with the maintenance, care, and improvement of commercial and residential landscapes. This position requires the ability to operate landscaping equipment, perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions, and maintain a safe and attractive environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
• Plant, water, fertilize, and care for trees, shrubs, flowers, and lawns.
• Remove leaves, debris, litter, and other materials to maintain clean and attractive grounds.
• Operate landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, and other hand and power tools.
• Assist with landscape installation projects, including planting, sod installation, irrigation work, and hardscape preparation.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, plants, and materials as needed.
• Perform basic irrigation inspections and report repair needs.
• Maintain equipment and tools in safe operating condition and report maintenance issues.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures while using equipment and handling materials.
• Work effectively with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous landscaping, groundskeeping, lawn care, construction, or outdoor labor experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of basic landscaping practices and equipment operation is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, cold, and rain.
• Ability to safely navigate uneven terrain and work around landscaping equipment and machinery.

Work Environment

This position is primarily performed outdoors and requires exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, dirt, noise, pollen, and other environmental elements common to landscaping and grounds maintenance operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating commercial landscaping equipment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with irrigation systems, planting, sod installation, or landscape construction.
• Knowledge of safe equipment operation and hazard awareness practices.
