Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Optician / Optical Sales Associate for a busy optometry office in Wichita Falls, TX. This position is responsible for assisting patients with selecting eyewear, ensuring proper fit and comfort, educating customers on eyewear care, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the optical purchasing process.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping patients find the best vision solutions for their needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses
• Measure, fit, and adjust eyewear to ensure proper comfort and vision correction
• Educate patients on eyewear care, maintenance, and lens options
• Maintain and organize optical inventory and displays
• Collaborate with optometrists and office staff to provide outstanding patient care
• Process orders and maintain accurate customer records
• Handle administrative tasks, including payments, work orders, and prescription documentation
• Adjust eyeglass frames by heating, shaping, and bending metal or plastic frames as needed
• Ensure a professional and welcoming environment for patients and visitors

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced office environment
• Knowledge of lens types, coatings, and eyewear products preferred
• Previous optician or optical sales experience preferred
• Computer proficiency and ability to maintain accurate records
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
