Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM

Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced TIG Welder for a local manufacturing company in Wichita Falls, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong welding background, experience working with large metal assemblies, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. This position requires a safety-focused individual who can work independently while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG and Flux Core welding on large metal assemblies and fabricated components
• Assemble products from blueprints, work orders, and written or verbal instructions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and weld specifications
• Operate hand, electric, pneumatic, and welding tools safely and efficiently
• Perform fit-up and welding operations to meet quality and production standards
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools, tape measures, and visual inspection methods
• Safely rig, move, and position materials and assemblies using proper lifting techniques
• Operate and work around overhead cranes while following all safety procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of Flux Core wire welding experience required
• TIG welding experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Working knowledge of weld procedures and welding safety standards
• Experience working with large fabricated assemblies
• Knowledge of overhead cranes and proper rigging techniques
• 3G and/or 6G welding certifications preferred
• Ability to pass required weld certification tests
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods
• Ability to lift, carry, and move parts and assemblies weighing up to 40 pounds
• Frequent walking between workstations and production areas
