Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk for a local company in Wichita Falls, TX. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting daily accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have strong bookkeeping experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping transactions
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare invoices and process customer payments
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll record maintenance
• Enter financial data into accounting software accurately and timely
• Prepare financial reports and support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Maintain organized accounting files and documentation
• Assist management with accounting and administrative tasks as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Requirements

• Previous bookkeeping and accounting experience required
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar programs preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting-related education is a plus
