Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and hardworking Manual Metal Bandsaw Operator for a local manufacturing facility in Wichita Falls, TX. This position is responsible for safely and accurately cutting metal materials to specified lengths and dimensions using a manual bandsaw. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate a manual metal bandsaw to cut steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications and work orders
• Read and interpret cut lists, blueprints, and shop drawings
• Measure, mark, and verify material dimensions for accurate cuts
• Load, position, and secure materials safely before cutting
• Inspect finished materials to ensure quality and accuracy
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs
• Perform routine maintenance, including blade changes and equipment cleaning
• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with material handling and other shop duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, or bandsaw experience preferred
• Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints
• Strong math and measurement skills
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs regularly

• Exposure to industrial machinery, metal materials, noise, and lubricants
• Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift
