Position Summary

The warehouse associate is an integral part of servicing our customers in a safe, prompt and efficient manner.  The warehouse associate reports to the warehouse manager who will guide/direct your daily activities and assignments. The warehouse associate will be cross trained in a variety of activities and is expected to follow established training and standard operating procedures.  We expect the warehouse associate to be self-starters and able to work assigned tasks to completion with minimal additional supervision.

Principal Accountabilities

• Receiving material from suppliers, noting any damage or discrepancies in material or quantity
• Stocking the warehouse shelves/locations as per plan in a safe and efficient manner
• Pulling and packaging inventory from warehouse on a first in first out manner according to customers’ orders.
• Loading trucks as directed by the drivers to ensure safe transportation to customer facility.
• Fabrication of angles to designated “FAB Sheet” instructions for customer specific orders or inventory.
• Packaging of fasteners to designated ticket instructions for customer specific orders or inventory.
• Performing all necessary equipment (forklift, saw, punch etc.) pre use inspection. Submit to warehouse manager when completed.  Advise warehouse manager immediately if any equipment needs attention due to a safety concern or malfunction.
• Perform standard routine scheduled cleaning/maintenance of equipment (saw/punch)
• Be an active participant in all 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) activities, including disposing packaged materials in the trash

Primary Skill Set

• Self - Directed.
• Detail-oriented.
• High School or equivalent degree/experience
• Ability to operate forklift and small machinery.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in varying weather climates.
• Ability to work with all levels of company staff - TEAMWORK
