The Dip Molding Set-Up Technician is responsible for the full mechanical setup, operation, and monitoring of dip-molding related equipment. This role involves making equipment adjustments, verifying cycles, ensuring quality compliance, and driving productivity performance.
Starting Pay: $20.00+/hour (depending on experience)
1st Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM & Friday, 6:30 AM – 10:30 AM
2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, 3:45 PM – 2:15 AM
Equipment Setup: Perform mechanical set-up of dip-molding equipment.
Troubleshooting: Resolve mechanical issues related to molds, racks, ovens, airflow, and overall equipment performance.
Quality Control: Conduct part measurements using calipers and other devices; identify and report nonconforming products, mechanical defects, or equipment malfunctions.
Documentation & Specs: Read, understand, and adhere to process specifications. Complete all production and quality documentation accurately and on time.
Staging & Prep: Ensure materials, tools, labels, and finished products are properly staged in their assigned work areas before starting a job.
Leadership & Teamwork: Provide on-the-job training, instruction, and guidance to oven operators. Coordinate and offer break coverage to maintain a smooth production flow.
Continuous Improvement: Support safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Work Ethic: Strong initiative, accountability, reliability, and excellent attendance.
Technical Skills: Experience reading blueprints, production schedules, and technical instructions. Competence in using calipers, gauges, and basic math (including decimals).
Systems: Experience with ERP system data entry.
Capability: Proven ability to perform mechanical setups/adjustments in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability.
Effective multitasking, situational prioritization, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift 20 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and stand, reach, bend, twist, squat, push, pull, and climb throughout the shift.
