Are you the type of mechanic who enjoys taking vehicles apart just as much as putting them back together?

We're looking for experienced Prototype Mechanics / Vehicle Build Technicians to join an exciting automotive engineering project. This position involves complete vehicle tear-downs, modifications, testing support, and reassembly on prototype and development vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Completely disassemble and reassemble prototype vehicles
• Remove and reinstall interiors, dashboards, trim panels, body panels, and major vehicle components
• Perform mechanical modifications and component installations
• Remove and reinstall engines, transmissions, suspension, and other assemblies as required
• Install prototype or engineering components following detailed work instructions
• Perform vehicle retrofit and modification work
• Ensure all systems are properly reassembled and functioning correctly
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety and quality procedures

Qualifications

• Previous automotive mechanic experience required
• Body shop or collision repair experience strongly preferred
• Experience performing complete vehicle tear-downs and rebuilds
• Comfortable removing interiors, dashboards, wiring, body panels, and major mechanical components
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow written work instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Prototype vehicle builds
• Vehicle retrofit projects
• Engineering or validation testing
• Custom vehicle builds
• Restoration projects
• Heavy-line dealership repairs
• Performance or motorsports experience
• Previous experience with companies such as Roush, Performance Driven Workforce (PDW), Bertrandt, EDAG, Segula, AVL, or similar automotive engineering companies
