We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reorder Clerk. This role is responsible for assisting patients with reordering medical supplies, ensuring timely processing of orders, maintaining accurate patient records, and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and able to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound calls from patients regarding reorder requests for medical equipment and supplies.
  • Verify patient eligibility, insurance information, and prescription requirements prior to processing orders.
  • Accurately enter and update patient information within company systems.
  • Process reorder requests in accordance with company policies and healthcare regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve order issues, documentation needs, or shipping concerns.
  • Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and order status.
  • Follow up with patients regarding pending documentation or incomplete orders when necessary.
  • Provide professional, courteous service while addressing patient questions and concerns.
  • Meet productivity, quality, and accuracy standards while adhering to HIPAA privacy guidelines.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service, call center, healthcare, medical office, or administrative experience preferred.
  • Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient with computers and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, empathetic, and patient-focused attitude.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, or durable medical equipment (DME) is a plus.
