Job Title: 1st Shift Trim Department Associate (Temporary/Contract)

Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 5:45 AM – 2:30 PM
Classification: Temporary/Contract

We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to join our Trim Department on 1st shift. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys precision work, quality inspection, and working in a structured production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect parts under a microscope and magnifying light
• Trim and deflash parts using precision tools such as Exacto knives and scissors
• Identify defects and separate acceptable and suspect parts according to quality standards
• Prepare finished products for transfer to the shipping department
• Follow customer specifications and inspection requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
• Clean and properly maintain microscopes, magnifying lights, and workstations
• Return materials and parts to designated locations

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Ability to identify defects and follow inspection procedures
• Ability to work independently and communicate concerns to team leaders
• Willingness to learn and achieve production efficiency goals
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Equipment Used:

• Microscope
• Magnifying light (Mag Light)
• Trim machine
• Precision trimming tools including Exacto knives and scissors

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for extended periods throughout the shift
• Good vision and hand-eye coordination
• Ability to perform repetitive inspection and trimming tasks

Performance Expectations:

• Visually inspect products to customer requirements
• Identify and properly segregate defective or suspect parts
• Maintain accurate paperwork and communicate quality concerns
• Achieve 65% of standard efficiency within the first 90 days
