Our client, a well-established, family-owned construction company located in Nepean, is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper/Accounting Clerk with a strong accounting background and experience using Sage 50.

Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain accurate day-to-day financial records and general ledgers using Sage 50 accounting software
- Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis using Microsoft Excel
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Record and reconcile sales, purchases, receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance showroom sales, including payments processed through Moneris
- Prepare weekly payroll, maintain employee records, and administer group health benefits
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements, including EHT, HST, WSIB, ROEs, T4s, and T5018s
- Manage vehicle-related records, including registration renewals, insurance documentation, and CVOR compliance
- Handle online banking activities, including deposits, EFT payments, e-transfers, and direct deposit payroll processing
- Maintain office inventory and coordinate the ordering of office supplies as required
Required skills and qualifications:
- 3–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Construction, trades, or other blue-collar industry experience preferred
- Proficient with Sage 50, Microsoft Excel, Moneris, and online banking platforms
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
- Accurate, detail-oriented, and consistent in managing financial records
- Comfortable working in a blue-collar environment and confidently holding others accountable when needed
- Honest, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
- Reliable, professional, and committed to long-term success
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and good sense of humour
- Clean criminal record

The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 per year depending on experience.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, scheduled anytime between 8:00/9:00AM and 3:00/4:00PM
