Express Employment Professionals is seeking applicants for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic position for a local Cumby, Tx company! We are a full-service Staffing Firm where we work with companies in East Texas that have full-time, part-time and temporary. Since we cannot guarantee placement, there is no fee for using our services!

In this role, you will:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of construction and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators (mini through 300 series), skid steer loaders, track loaders, and construction and recycling attachments.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical components, and electronic systems.
  • Complete engine repairs, engine rebuilds, and major component rebuilds.
  • Repair hydraulic cylinders and hoses, including onsite hydraulic hose fabrication.
  • Utilize electronic diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform mobile HVAC system repairs on heavy equipment as needed.
  • Complete both shop-based and field service repairs, responding to service calls in a timely manner.
  • Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently following repairs.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and repair documentation.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

We like to hear from candidates with the following:

  • At least 2 years of experience repairing heavy construction equipment or similar machinery.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical/electronic diagnostic systems.
  • Experience working on excavators, skid steers, track loaders, or similar heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency using electronic diagnostic tools and troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in both shop and field environments.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members and customers.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
