Welder / Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and safety-focused Welder / Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing welding, fabrication, equipment repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure production equipment and facility systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong welding experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on machinery, equipment, structural components, and fabricated parts.
• Fabricate, modify, and repair metal components to support production and facility operations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and other industrial machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on production equipment and facility systems to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and potential failures, recommending repairs before breakdowns occur.
• Install, assemble, and maintain machinery and equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and documentation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safe work practices.
• Assist with facility improvement projects and other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Welder, Maintenance Technician, or in a related industrial maintenance role.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment, conveyors, pumps, motors, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety.
• Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
