Job Summary
We are seeking detail-oriented Order Selectors to join our warehouse team in Troy, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for picking and staging products following FIFO (first in/first out) procedures.
Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday and overtime as needed
Pay: $17.00/hr. - $18.00/hr.
Order Selector Duties
- Accurately pick and stage orders according to pick sheets and FIFO process.
- Verify quantities and Inspect items for defects or damage before staging.
- Load delivery trucks in an organized and secure manner .
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. (pallet jacks, forklifts etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures while handling products and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned
Order Selector Skills
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouse or freezer.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently. (pallet jacks, forklifts etc.)
- Basic proficiency with computers.
- Good verbal and written communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Basic math skills for counting and measuring items accurately.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and climbing for long periods and lifting packages as needed.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or working with food or perishable items.
