Transfer Press Technician (Automotive Stamping)

An established automotive stamping manufacturer is looking for an experienced Transfer Press Technician to become the technical expert supporting computerized transfer press operations. This is not a general maintenance position. Instead, you'll focus on optimizing and troubleshooting the transfer system to keep production running safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the technical expert for the transfer system on three computerized transfer presses.
• Troubleshoot and optimize transfer motion, timing, and production speeds.
• Diagnose issues involving grippers, feed systems, sensors, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
• Work closely with the Maintenance team to identify equipment issues and direct repairs when necessary.
• Support setup, adjustments, and continuous improvement efforts to maximize uptime and production efficiency.
• Help maintain safe, reliable, and efficient transfer press operations.

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with automated transfer press systems.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with transfer systems, grippers, feed systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors.
• Servo transfer system experience is a plus.
• Automotive stamping experience preferred.
• Ability to diagnose problems, make adjustments, and support continuous production.

Schedule

• 7:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
• Regular overtime available, including Saturdays based on production schedules.
• Saturday coverage is shared across the team whenever possible.
