A pioneer in the rapid prototyping, rapid production and digital manufacturing of the toughest and most demanding jobs including custom plastic injection molding, injection mold tooling, investment casting patterns, and the newest additive manufacturing processes like 3D Printing for the aerospace, medical, industrial, consumer, OEM, and other manufacturing sectors is looking for a Jr. Project Engineer to join their team in Chatsworth.
Summary: We are seeking a motivated Junior Project Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate or an early-career engineer looking to launch a career in advanced manufacturing. We provide hands-on training and mentorship to help you develop the technical and project management skills needed for long-term success. The Junior Project Engineer will support the successful execution of customer manufacturing projects from concept through production. Working closely with senior engineers, project managers, customers, and production teams, this role assists in coordinating engineering activities, tracking project schedules, and ensuring customer requirements are met while learning the company's manufacturing processes and technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing customer projects from quotation through production.
- Coordinate project activities with engineering, tooling, production, quality, and sales teams.
- Review customer drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
- Support project scheduling, milestone tracking, and documentation.
- Communicate project status and technical information with customers and internal teams.
- Help identify and resolve technical and production challenges.
- Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings.
- Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation.
- Learn company manufacturing processes, including injection molding, tooling, additive manufacturing, and rapid prototyping technologies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Recent graduate or 0–2 years of engineering experience.
- Strong interest in manufacturing, product development, and project engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
