CNC Machine Operator
Location: Marietta
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Some weekends & OT
Pay: $23 - $26/hour

Job Summary

The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for programming commands for CNC (Computer Numerical Controlled) machines and ensuring the commands work properly to achieve the desired results. This role is responsible for the standard setup and operation of machinery used in the fabrication process under the oversight of production leaders while maintaining quality standards.

This position is also responsible for performing various operations involved in the fabrication of conveyor belting, including the safe operation of fabrication equipment, material handling, housekeeping, and special projects within a defined area. The role requires participation in lean initiatives, teamwork, and safety activities.

Essential Responsibilities
Programming and basic setup of CNC machines.
Knowledge of the working properties of machinery and materials used.
Ability to read gauges and calipers.
Translate detailed part drawings into production measurements.
Perform equipment and accessory setup and calibration.
Troubleshoot and correct basic mechanical issues on CNC machines.
Perform quality control inspections of machine output.
Collaborate with Engineering to create workable prototypes for Research & Development and tooling.
Supervise Machine Operators.
Log and record equipment readings and procedures.
Proficiently operate machinery and train Machine Operators to documented standards, including loading and unloading equipment and materials.
Monitor and track machine adjustments to achieve the correct dimensions, finishes, and quality.
Troubleshoot machine issues and perform necessary adjustments in a safe manner.
Evaluate tooling effectiveness.
Inspect and measure finished products to ensure conformance to quality standards.
Assist other departments with slitting, lacing, V-guide application, and PVC Thermoweld.
Read, understand, and follow Quality Control procedures for all assigned departments.
Respect, protect, and support the company culture.
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Report any work-related incident or accident involving yourself or team members.
Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Ability to read routing work instructions.
Ability to interpret blueprint drawings.
Strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
Basic electrical knowledge.
Basic mechanical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
High mechanical aptitude.

Ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, or remain in one position for extended periods.
Work Environment
Regularly works near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
Work environment may be loud.
