Function & Responsibility
Responsible for supporting quality processes within the facility, which includes analyzing information, and reporting research results in support of quality systems. Actively communicates both verbally and in writing any corrective actions or quality issues.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company's quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
· Initiate non-conformance reports (Non-Conforming Report) as required
· Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics.
· Conduct, document and report on inspection findings and results and monitors corrective actions to inspection findings.
· Read and interpret specifications and part prints.
· Perform material kit audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of the kitting process.
· Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required.
· Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions. Communicate with project engineers to ensure schematics are in compliance with the final product.
· Train staff in quality assurance techniques.
· Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs.
· Submit FAIR report to customers and respond to the customer’s request.
· Prepare POR packages as required by Quality Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers.
· Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
· Performs and maintains all vendor performance documentation and communication.
· Ensure calibration and maintenance are performed on inspection equipment.
· Might require performing some basic supervisory functions such as approving timecards, providing directions to other team members, etc.
· Performs other duties as assigned by the General Manager or Quality Manager
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
· Ability to promote process improvement
· Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers
· Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
· Ability to effectively present information to top management
· Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
· Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
· Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
· Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
· Ability to recognize and define measurement and test equipment (MT&E) such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, thread gauges, comparators, profilometers, protractors, scales, etc.…
· Proficient in PC computer skills such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
· Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel
· Must be familiar with First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) process
· Must be familiar with NCR and MRB processes
· Must be familiar with RMA and internal audit process
· Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Minimum Qualifications
· Pass General Mathematics Test with 90% or better.
· Pass GD&T Test (level 2) with 80% or better.
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Positive attitude and strong work ethics
