We are partnering with a well-established equipment and parts distribution company in Sarasota that is seeking a dependable Picker/Packer to join their warehouse team. This is a fast-paced position focused on order fulfillment, inventory accuracy, shipping, receiving, and supporting daily warehouse operations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Position Summary

The Picker/Packer is responsible for accurately picking, checking, packing, shipping, and receiving inventory while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time while supporting inventory control and warehouse efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a physically active warehouse setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick, verify, and prepare customer orders for shipment and pickup
• Pack products safely and efficiently to prevent damage during transit
• Process outgoing shipments using shipping systems and carrier platforms
• Receive incoming inventory, verify quantities, label products, and stock warehouse locations
• Maintain inventory accuracy through proper scanning, counting, and organization
• Assist customers with pickup orders and loading items when needed
• Utilize RF scanners, warehouse software, and inventory systems
• Replenish warehouse locations and packing stations as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist with general warehouse duties and departmental projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or order fulfillment experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Basic computer skills required
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly throughout the workday
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, and climb ladders frequently
• Comfortable performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

• Non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
• Steel-toe shoes required
