Administrative Credentialing Specialist

Location: Dallas, TX
Schedule: Monday–Thursday (Onsite) for the first 90 days, then transitions to a Monday–Friday Hybrid schedule upon successful completion of the introductory period.
Employment Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Credentialing Specialist to support the credentialing and recredentialing process for healthcare providers. This position is responsible for ensuring all licenses, certifications, registrations, and required documentation are collected, verified, maintained, and renewed in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage the credentialing and recredentialing process while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, review, and verify provider documentation including licenses, certifications, education, training, work history, and other required credentials.
  • Maintain accurate electronic credentialing files and databases.
  • Track credential expiration dates and coordinate timely renewals.
  • Perform primary source verification of licenses and certifications.
  • Communicate with providers and outside organizations to obtain missing documentation.
  • Generate reports and maintain credentialing logs and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee and provider information.
  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team.
  • Assist with onboarding documentation, employee records, and HRIS data entry.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling, calendars, meetings, and HR-related correspondence.
  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure employment documents are retained according to company policies.
  • Support various HR initiatives and additional administrative projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of administrative, office management, HR, credentialing, or project coordination experience.
  • Experience working in a healthcare or regulated environment is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience maintaining confidential records and documentation.
  • Familiarity with credentialing software, provider enrollment systems, HRIS platforms, or similar databases is a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare credentialing processes, accreditation standards, and HIPAA is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 10–15 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to move throughout an office environment as needed.

Schedule

  • First 90 Days: Monday–Thursday, onsite for training and onboarding.
  • After 90 Days: Monday–Friday, hybrid schedule based on performance and business needs.
