Production Associate – Manufacturing

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Production Associate to join a manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform a variety of production and material handling tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include operating equipment, blending and dispensing materials, packaging finished products, supporting production operations, maintaining quality standards, and assisting with routine maintenance and housekeeping. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production, quality, safety, and efficiency goals.
  • Inspect, package, and prepare finished products according to established quality standards.
  • Safely pack and move products to support uninterrupted production flow.
  • Perform material additions and assist with blending and dispensing operations.
  • Identify operational issues, implement immediate corrective actions when appropriate, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Perform routine operator preventive maintenance and assist maintenance personnel during scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Safely operate manufacturing equipment and powered industrial equipment as required.
  • Operate Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs), including scissor lifts and boom lifts, following all safety procedures.
  • Ensure all materials are properly identified and labeled before transferring into or out of the production area.
  • Complete mechanical and electronic equipment changeovers as directed.
  • Accurately record production data, downtime, and operational adjustments using electronic systems.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by performing routine housekeeping and waste disposal tasks.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Previous manufacturing or production experience (3+ months preferred).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience operating manufacturing equipment or powered industrial equipment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 65 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions and manual labor.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at elevated heights when required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including multiple shifts as needed.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility where employees are required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing protection, safety glasses, respirators, and steel-toe footwear. The environment may include exposure to industrial machinery, dust, noise, and varying temperatures.
