Leasing Agent

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a professional and customer-focused Leasing Agent to join a growing property management team. The Leasing Agent will be responsible for marketing available units, conducting property tours, assisting prospective residents through the leasing process, and providing exceptional customer service to current and future tenants. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, sales-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet prospective residents and provide professional property tours.
• Respond promptly to phone, email, and online inquiries.
• Explain lease terms, rental rates, property amenities, and community policies.
• Process rental applications and assist with applicant screening procedures.
• Prepare lease agreements and related documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of prospect and resident interactions.
• Follow up with leads to maximize occupancy and leasing goals.
• Coordinate move-in and move-out processes.
• Assist with resident retention efforts and customer service requests.
• Support property marketing initiatives, including social media and online listing updates.
• Ensure model units, leasing offices, and common areas are maintained and presentable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous leasing, property management, sales, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and property management software is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Sales and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Experience with leasing software such as Yardi, AppFolio, or similar platforms.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
