Customs Entry Writer – Produce Imports

Location: McAllen, TX

Pay: $17.00–$20.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Customs Entry Writer for a company in the McAllen area. If you have customs brokerage experience and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we'd love to hear from you!

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare and process CBP Form 7501 customs entries.
• Review shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Classify entries and ensure timely customs clearance.
• Process fresh produce import entries.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, FDA, and USDA/APHIS regulations.
• Communicate with brokers, carriers, customers, and government agencies regarding shipment documentation.
• Maintain accurate records while managing multiple shipments and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Previous Customs Brokerage experience is required.
• Experience preparing and processing CBP Form 7501 entries.
• Experience with fresh produce imports is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA and USDA/APHIS import requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Compensation

• Starting pay of $17.00 per hour.
• Candidates with exceptional experience may qualify for up to $20.00 per hour.
