Basic Labor II

Pay: $18.57/hr
Schedule: Day, Swing, and Graveyard Shifts Available | Can be any day of the week

 

Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring Basic Labor II associates for a food production facility in the Salem area. This position offers additional responsibilities and requires the ability to perform physically demanding production tasks.

Job Duties:

• Perform all Basic Labor I duties as assigned
• Stack and inspect cases on pallets
• Verify product coding, sealing, and quality standards
• Operate and monitor production and processing equipment
• Inspect products, totes, and bins for quality concerns
• Assemble and maintain totes, pallets, liners, and packing materials
• Maintain production records and communicate issues to supervisors
• Assist with training new employees when needed
• Support production teams to maintain workflow
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly lift and move up to 55 lbs.
• Stand and walk for most of the shift
• Bend, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs as needed
• Work in a manufacturing environment around moving equipment
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and production conditions

Qualifications:

• Reliable attendance and work history
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Strong teamwork skills
• English and/or Spanish communication skills preferred
• Ability to work any shift and day of the week

Available Shifts:

• Days: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Swing: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Graveyard: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
