Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable, mechanically inclined Assembler/Fabricator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for measuring and cutting raw materials (such as aluminum, or steel) and assembling structural lift components using bolts, wrenches, and power tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Material Prep & Cutting: Measure, mark, and cut raw materials to exact specifications using saws, and grinders.
• Assembly & Bolting: Position, align, and fasten structural boat lift parts together securely using bolts, nuts, washers, impact wrenches, and torque tools to meet required specifications.
• Quality Control: Inspect cut edges, drilled holes, and bolted connections for structural integrity, sharp burrs, or defects.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, or work orders to ensure all parts are accurately assembled.
• Shop Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of metal shavings. Maintain, lubricate, and store shop tools properly.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 year in manufacturing, assembly, metal fabrication, or a similar mechanical role.
• Tool Proficiency: Strong knowledge of how to read a tape measure and operate heavy-duty power tools (e.g., drills, grinders, impact wrenches).
• Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift and carry heavy materials (50+ lbs) and perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
• Safety First: Strict adherence to shop safety guidelines, including the use of required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like safety glasses and steel-toed boots.
